Following a community-wide strategic planning process in June 2019, The Magic House opened a 7,000-square-foot second location in an historically underserved area of St. Louis called MADE for Kids. It provides a safe, innovative environment for play and learning, particularly in a high-need neighborhood. MADE for Kids offers hands-on STEAM experiences to foster creativity and innovation, while ensuring accessibility through free or affordable admission and programs for families in need. Additionally, it supports ongoing efforts to revitalize the local community.

MADE for Kids features distinct areas that include a Makers Workshop, Artists Studio, Designers Lab, and Entrepreneurs Marketplace, offering diverse hands-on activities ranging from game design to laser cutting. Since its inception, MADE for Kids has welcomed 175,000 visitors.

The operational expenses of MADE for Kids far surpass its nominal $6 admission fee per person. Generous contributions to The Magic House are essential to sustain the materials and staffing required for these enriching hands-on experiences at MADE for Kids.
