Summer Splash

The Magic House, Prairie Farms and North Star Frozen Treats are kicking off the beginning of summer with the help of with some good old-fashioned outdoor recreation. On Friday, May 25 visitors are invited to celebrate the hottest season of the year in The Magic House’s very own backyard with some very cool summer activities such as water play, parachute play, jump ropes, balls, bubbles, “sand”sational outdoor art and lots of fun games! Visitors can also relax under a beach umbrella or go on a shell dig at The Magic House’s very own backyard oasis, Sandcastle Beach.
Plus, during the event visitors can cool off with some delicious ice cream treats compliments of North Star Frozen Treats and even shake flippers with Norton the North Star penguin. All activities are free with museum admission. It’s the kickoff to summer, make it magical!

Bookmobile Magic

The St. Louis County Library’s Bookmobile will be rolling into The Magic House’s back parking lot! Aboard the bookmobile, kids will have the opportunity to get their very own library card and sign up for the library’s summer reading club. Other book-related activities going on at The Magic House include story time, making bookmarks and touring the Magic Tree House® Exhibit.
Kids under the age of 12 who bring in a new or used Magic Tree House book can attend this event for FREE. All Magic Tree House books will be donated.
International Picnic Day

11:00 am – 1:00 pm
The Magic House is celebrating International Picnic Day. Visitors are invited to grab a blanket on the front lawn of The Magic House and enjoy free ice cream compliments of North Star Frozen Treats. While picnicking, guests can listen to music, get their faces painted and shake flippers with Norton the North Star Penguin.
Picnic activities are free with museum admission.
